The Pond

When I finally had a studio space in our home, where I could do my own fabric dyeing and batik again, I felt like a whole new world had opened up for me artistically. Most of my work from this point on was created from my own hand dyed and batik fabrics. This quilt was inspired by a spring time walk down to a pond in the moonlight. At first all of the frogs in the pond were silent, but eventually they began singing again and the sound of their voices was deafening.
