Orange Ball

Orange Ball is one in a series of studies that I did in late 2022. I was playing with 2 distinct layers. The bottom layer is comprised of a concentric circle with orange at the center. I then cut out undulating curves from that layer and placed them on the blue fabric in order to create a subtle optical illusion of what is not there. I chose orange narrow straight line quilting to quiet the blue and create a slight veil over the black and gray pieces.
