A thorny issue: A 14-year-old Catholic girl goes to church on a Saturday afternoon to confess her sins before receiving Holy Communion on Sunday. She ends with the formula, “That is all, Father.” The Priest does not reply. She repeats... “Father, I’m finished.” But then she sees he is reading the newspaper and not listening. The 14-year-old girl never went to confession again after that day.
