By combining an arashi shibori quilt that I made made years ago, and adding heat-shaped shibori organza that I made recently this piece blends my old and new self, documenting my new growth.
Materials
Cotton quilt fragment, silk organza, silk straw cochineal, and fiber-reactive dye.
Techniques
Arashi shibori dyed cotton dyed with fiber-reactive dye, machine pieced and quilted., Heat -shaped organza dyed with cochineal, hand tied and hand appliquéd.
