My Yellow is Yours, Your Red is Mine!

The joy of looking into the promise of the future our yellow, pale selves come out of winter and transform into the red, warm glow characterized by the fire. The Zoroastrian symbolism of jumping over the fire is part of a festive New Year’s celebration called Chaharshanbe Suri (Wednesday Festivities). The saying is said to the fire as each person jumps over it - “I’ll give you my yellow, you give me your red.”
