Mother and Child

The pressures of being a good parent and doing the best for your child can be overwhelming. I filled this quilt with many symbolic references. I placed the mother with a swaddled babe on a remote pastoral hillside. She looms darkly but protectively: face averted, with alabaster skin. Her hands are strong and capable. A new dawn begins.
