A Life Lived In Ink

This piece is a portrait of my son, a tattoo artist who has chosen to commemorate his life experiences in ink on his own skin. It was the winner of the European Patchwork Meeting competition entitled "Reflections" which is why Daniel is positioned next to a blank outline of his own form crowded around by free floating tattoos; he is reflecting both back into the past and forward into the future.
