Life goes on in spite of world and personal events. People put their own interpretation of whether they see it referencing world events or relationships between people. On purpose the figures do not look male or female.
Annually between and including 1986-2012 I made a quilt with picture panels representing world events. Conflict figures a lot in these pieces so I was inspired to make Life Goes On after thinking about how conflict affects us all. Living in Northern Ireland through our Troubles influenced my work.
