It's All Relative

"It’s All Relative" is about aging. Spiraling out of the mirror are thirteen pictures of me (ages one to seventy-two), fourteen photos of my mother, both of my grandmothers, all four of my great grandmothers, two of my great-great grandmothers, and a great-great-great grandmother, born in 1791. I feel very lucky to have all these pictures of my female ancestors, which were found in closets and attics while clearing out the homes of my parents and my oldest aunt. The background vortex represents the normal cycles of life from one generation to the next. All the images are sepia-toned except the photograph of my back.
