When I was little, my parents used to sing me a bedtime song called "I See the Moon" every night. It is a ritual I repeated with my own children, hoping it made them feel as safe and as loved as I had when my parents sang it to me. I made this piece as my father was being diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's Disease, as I was recognizing that our roles were reversing, and that I was the one to now help him feel safe and loved. This piece was part of the "Rituals" exhibition by Dinner at Eight Artists.
