I saw a plant through a pane of corrugated glass. The leaf shapes were divided in many small unconnected pieces. I pondered how to replicate this effect in a quilt. Using multiple copies of a print, I divide each into many squares (no two exactly alike). When the squares are sewn together, the design appears to move across and down the surface of the quilt.
