A Gift

Pieced silk was given to me by a favorite fiber arts teacher who passed away last year. One needs to look closely to recognize and appreciate the subtle texture and color differences of the textiles. The gentle rippling of the fabric created by the stitching becomes an interesting design detail, making the viewer want to observe further. My teacher not only gave me the gift of the fabric, but also inspired me to create.
