Fragmented Blues

The serendipity of the gestural mark dictates my design and guides my composition. The energy of the paint landing on the fabric orders the direction of my initial design, allowing the arrangement to unfold. Sometimes the impromptu line is enough to ground my design. At other times, the challenge of incorporating a line of paint into a cohesive design motivates me.
