I was inspired by a photo I took in Japan of a gentleman painting a length of fabric to be used to make a kimono. He was bent over the fabric, totally focused on his task. After months of being isolated at home, I realized more than ever the value of spending time with your art. I love Thursdays, when my husband golfs, and I am left alone with my work. Everything else just melts away when you are involved in creating an art piece. This is a self portrait of me doing what I enjoy most.
