Grafting printmaking and fiber techniques, my drawings of imaginary plants meld into a strange garden. The seedpods and vertical stalks compete as they seek light and nourishment, intertwining as they reach skyward. This piece is from my Dystopian Ecology series, which is new work created from lonely leftovers and a reservoir of fabrics I printed. My grandmother Dora inspired the title.
