As the sun gently rises, the colors of the sky echo the pinks, reds and golds with the promise of a new day. This is one of my series of quilts created during the pandemic to remind us that there is hope.

I love combining many different quilting fabrics that blend together but contain different stories that can be examined and mused over telling stories each time the textile is seen. This method has a history in the string quilts that combined the fabrics the sewer had to make a statement. Some fabrics are used only once or twice.
