Flight from Portland

This piece is from my Aerial series and depicts a flight home from the Portland, Oregon airport. I took a photo from the window and used my iPad to create a painting while in flight. Once home I uploaded the painted image and printed it onto cloth. I densely stitched with many colored threads to enhance and enliven the forms, shapes, and texture of the composition.
