I once read about a potter who made a dinner service based upon the body of his young wife. This concept, together with the tradition of displaying decorative china plates on walls and a pair of beautiful old dictionaries I had just purchased resulted in me wanting to create a wall full of fibre platters. This piece is a portrait of the eyes of my daughter, Ilse.
