The feeling of isolation, solitude and loneliness opens ones eyes to the stark simplicity and wonders of nature. A unique beauty - the dry, bleak, desolate and barren wildness of the arid Australian outback - where sandy plains are dotted with the occasional tree stump, scattered twigs, spinifex and tufts of colourless grasses give way to gibber plains. The work was created in response to a trip through the Sturt National Park in the centre of Australia. It was made for a juried exhibition "Across Australia" and travelled with the exhibition to Europe and the Middle East.
