Covid Conversations

Globally, our nests of normalcy shape-shifted during the COVID-19 lockdown. I found myself urgently compelled to work in near black and white—something I had never done before. Covid Conversations, taken from a series I generated during quarantine, seems an accurate barometer of this paradigm shift in the ordinariness of reality. Each textile contains a smaller blob shape engulfed by a larger blob shape. Each piece mirrors the fear of being swallowed, against the backdrop of isolation and insecurity that was the new norm.
