Cosmic Spiral No. 2

My challenge is to depict the universe
using high and low tech materials to interpret the
cosmos filled with light, gaseous matter, brilliant
colors, new material forms, patterns, and texture.
Circular pieces such as Cosmic Spiral No.2 are
designed to create the effect of the eternal quality of
time. The ubiquitous interlaced grid remains a constant
structural foundation on which other visual elements
are positioned and layered. Each layer and ring of the
grid represents a celestial realm toward which
enlightened spiritual beings travel and inhabit
eternally, serving in perfection “the will of God.”
