The Contact: New Nails

A shack made during the gold rush with discarded metal pieces has been restored, to give us a feeling that it is the real thing from the old days. The original materials are there, though rearranged. The giveaway, if you look closely is the empty nail holes—dark dots—that contrast with the shiny new nail heads holding it altogether now. The galvanized nails will hold up the rusted metal shingles but never match.
