Boundless

I often go to the top of a parking garage that is across from my home. It is calming to look down at the city and the people racing around beneath me. The biker in this piece was photographed from there, and combined with two other original photos, layers of fabric, and multitudes of hand and machine stitching. This process creates a surreal image that portrays the wonderful feeling I have when I dream I can fly!

My art combines my photographed images with the textural surfaces and evidence of hand that hand stitching, machine stitching, and fiber brings to the piece.
