Blue-Sky Thinking

This quilt is an exercise in empty political rhetoric. The text purports to be a rallying speech by a political candidate who could belong to any political party, since the promises and policies are so commonplace and vague. I wrote the text as I stitched it to fit into the speech bubbles. It is decipherable in its entirety with effort, but I hope that individual phrases - often jargon and clichés - stand out, giving a flavor of the whole.
