Big Leaf 44

I am fascinated with the shape, structure, and variety of leaves. I found some very large leaves which led to a new series. The leaves take center stage, enhanced by accidental patterns created by the printing tools, variable amounts of paint, etc. The relationships between the leaves comprise an important element of the composition. Friends and family bring me leaves they find, adding an element of collaboration. I enjoy the spontaneity of working with whatever comes along.
