This piece responds to today’s heartbreaking reality of human trafficking. Sweet, innocent girls who could be playing with paper dolls are instead caught between what should be a peaceful childhood and the opposing energies of greed, power, death, and war around the world. In many global cultures, females are considered second-class citizens, given few rights and little respect.
