American Still Life: The Weight of the Nation

The Pixeladies (Kris Sazaki and Deb Cashatt) create art work with words and phrases cut from newspapers and magazines, collaged on paper, then scanned and printed on fabric. The resulting whole-cloth quilt is then heavily quilted by machine or hand. The artists combine their keen sense of humor and love of language to make powerful social or political comments.
