Remembering my own adolescence and looking at my
teen-aged daughter,I wanted to translate this period in my quilt :
Time of insolence, revolt and claim for freedom
Diversity of being and feelings
But under violence appears tenderness
The essence of adolescence!
That needed to use very free and non traditional techniques, such as free-motion embroidery, distinct blocks joined together with denim strips and braids looking like scratches, layers, curved strips and perhaps inharmonious colors
