In 2011, I started a textile series titled "Cool Classic Rides" I've been so fortunate to have had three series that traveled in 2014, 2016 and my last series was in 2018. This 1956 Pontiac was one of twenty textile classics that was part of my 2018 series.
Materials
Cotton canvas, leftover fabrics, vintage ties and wool scraps. Enhanced with cotton threads.
Techniques
Each classic consists of approximately 15-20 pieces of fabric which are layered and stitched together on a hand painted cotton canvas background and enhanced by thread work.
