Paula Dean

My work embraces all that is imperfect.  I deliberately avoid traditional tools and techniques that offer precise control. Instead, I experiment with unconventional tools to allow expressive, gestural lines that flow freely.  I often work with ink, dye, and acrylics, embracing their inherent unpredictability.

Outside the studio, I cherish time with my family, including my husband, two daughters, their husbands, and my six granddaughters. I also love traveling and exploring the great outdoors. Each aspect of my life fuels my creative spirit, infusing my art with energy and authenticity.
