I am a full-time artist based in the gold country of northern California. I blend traditional quilting techniques with innovative designs; some of my work is improvisationally pieced, while others are digitally designed whole-cloth abstracts. I am fortunate to be able to travel extensively, which I humorously attribute to "friends who move to exotic places so that I can visit them." These experiences, along with common items from daily life, frequently appear in my work.
For two decades, I was also one-half of the fiber art duo Pixeladies. Both my collaborative work with Pixeladies and my solo pieces have been published, juried into national and international exhibitions, and acquired by museums and collectors.
I have been a member of SAQA for about 20 years, and because of my volunteer work with the organization, I have made friends all over the world.
In addition to being an artist, I am an avid basketball fan. I think the world would be a better place if people wore boas and drove cars with fins.
