New venues have been secured for both Minimalism and Stitchpunk - both calls are now available on the SAQA Calls page.
For many years SAQA debuted two exhibitions at Quilt Festival Houston. We were recently informed by Quilts Inc., the parent organization managing Festival, that they've reorganized the Festival's physical space. Beginning in 2023, they can only accommodate one SAQA exhibition.
With this in mind, the Exhibitions Committee has decided to debut Color in Context: Red in Houston next year (2023). The vibrancy of the exhibition will surely attract attention and delight viewers. All prospectus details are available on the website here.
Rest assured, the originally scheduled exhibitions -- Minimalism and StitchPunk -- will still take place. We are in active conversations to secure new venues and are excited about the possibilities. However, we've temporarily taken these prospectuses off the website until we've confirmed each of their new opening venues and the respective dates. We will share details as soon as we have them.
